Before you take a peak.....

You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.

"Mehndi"

Last time we came out to India as a family a nephew of Raj's called Renu (pictured below with Es) did Esme some Henna (called Mehndi out here). More info on this amazing art form that is used at weddings and other celebrations here.

This year Renu has grown (now 15) and has really been practising here Mehndi skills and last night came over to do some more artwork on Es. The result is pictured below.

It takes about half an hour to dry (Esme has to sit still for that long!!!!) and about 3 weeks to fade...

And finally, just one other pic of a few of the Church youth group at BBC (Banaswadi Bible Church) where we are going with Raj. There's a couple of 'Aunties' in the shot too. They call anyone over about 30 Auntie or Uncle here! There's about 40 in total and these have been some of the guys that I have spent a fair bit of time with in support and training/sessions at Church.
