The Tata empire!!

Bit of a ramble quick this morning....I have mentioned about the wealth in India....One of the classics in this is Tata. Heard of them?? They are the ones that have just bought Jaguar/Rover in the UK. Their mission is to 'improve the quality of life'!!!

Check out some of these facts from their website (I know it's boring but this is another image of India for you!)
  • The Tata Group is one of India's oldest, largest and most respected business conglomerates.
  • The Group's businesses are spread over seven business sectors.
  • It comprises 98 companies and operates in six continents.
  • It employs some 2,89,500 people and collectively has a shareholder base of over 2.9 million.
  • Turnover of $55 billion!!
  • This is the equivalent of about 3.2 per cent of the country's GDP
  • The Tata Group has operations in more than 80 countries across six continents, and its companies export products and services to 85 countries.
Now that is a big business....!!

It's website blows you away with what they do, split into individuals and corporate services:

Amazing eh?? Now tell me that India doesn't have wealth and can't help some of it's poor! As ever the focus needs to be on the 'have's' sharing what they have with the 'have not's' . Read a book last night by some India guru who suggested
'There is plenty in the world.....
it just needs to be mixed up a little'!!
That's part of why we are here!! To mix things up a little in a very small way. So what about you? How will you mix things up where you are today?? Preach over!
