Wow what a day yesterday!! No not High School Musical.!!!!!
Had a call from Sarah about 9pm last night. Upset and really struggling with having to not just get better, but do it alone (as we are not allowed in). Finding it all too much......
Esme was awake and picked up on this and that was the trigger for her letting it all out!! She has been very 'stiff upper lip' about it all (as has Josh) but this was her trigger. Big tears and sadness late into the night. "It's like a bit of our jigsaw puzzle is missing" she cried!!!
Josh then heard Es crying and started too. He's been very brave too (unlike Josh really!) so he let it all out here too....They both ended up in my room being cuddled to sleep by Dad...!!
Update on Sarah this morning is that she walked 12 steps this morning with the aid of a zimmer frame!! She was so excited when she called. We have now released a life sized plastic model boxed set of Sarah's experiences so far - see the pic. above!
On the downside, the physio's have said she won't be home Monday (as we have dreamt of) as all her other joints aren't giving her the strength that she needs to recover. It maybe Wednesday or even later. Still maybe no visiting until then. Horrible for her (and us too!)
