Before you take a peak.....

You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.

Latest blog ramblings...

Well, yet again I've failed to keep up to date with my ramblings....... back to it today to keep you all happy!! I do know of at least 3 people who check this out on a regular basis so for you sad people, if for no one else, I will continue to ramble....... Seriously, it's nice to know someone is checking it out.....

Only a couple of things of mild interest recently. I think the decision to go to India next year has stolen a bit of the head space over the last few weeks......

Hider reunion: This took place on the 28th April and was a mixture of my youngest brother (Andy) birthday (on the day), Dad's 70th (a few weeks before) and the Hider reunion too. Seems to be less and less people at the Hider reunion wither because people are dying (not to put too fine a point on it!) or there is less interest?? I don't know.

There were a few newcomers this year. One of them being a namesake of mine!!

Yes there is 'another David Hider'. Here he is (with the mullet) in full glory - how weird....!

Wargrave holiday: Had a great time the weekend just gone to at a fantastic joint we go to in Wargrave. Friends of my Mum and Dad go away and ask Mum and Dad to look after the house. Well house actually isn't the word for it. It's a blinkin' mansion with the river Thames (well a tributary of) at the back of the lawn!!!! They have boats etc and we all had a wale of a time..
It really is a stonking place 10 mins from Henley. We stayed there till bank Holiday weekend with Mum and Dad and Andy and Ali and Louie.

Other than that there's not a lot to say really.....
Raj (our good friend from India) is over for 6 weeks or so soon. See the update on the blog I manage for him at http://www.thefishermentrust.co.uk/
