Before you take a peak.....

You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.

Latest ramblings...

Hi all - anyone watching....??

Latest stuff in the Hider house is as follows.....Oh by the way, have you seen
the new CBBC programme 'Hider in the House' - bizarre!! See here . Bottom line is a family has to hide a famous person in their house for a week or something. The weird bit is that every now and again they freeze the famous person on screen and put a whopping big sign over them saying 'HIDER'. feels weird. Kids think it's well cool.

The old lent thing is going surprisingly well (see below). Kids are now just over 2 weeks with no arguing (nuff respect to them) and everything else is going to plan. Not been watching the TV during the week and very little moans from us all really.

Ashamed to say, I broke the 'not using the PC rule' but for a (sort of) valid reason - we have bought a new PC from Dell - nice one too. My old PC was one that I had from work and used at home at times and it needed to go back due to the new job so had to get a new one.

Well I couldn't get a new PC (with free upgrade to a 20" monitor!!) and then not play so I negotiated with the kids (who are in charge of all this!!) to go to the gym twice a week instead of not going on the PC!!!

New job is good too. Massive learning curve I can tell you. My brain is exploding. Having to do lots of reading on different client groups etc.

Dave's Mum and Dad are in China at the moment visiting my brother. They are there for 2 weeks. Not heard much from them yet so hope they are all OK.

Very proud that they are there though as they have not done anything like that before....

Last thing for a laugh is I have just been mailed a link to a great blog with an Anglican version of Robbie Williams song 'Angels'. See here
