Had a stonking night last night. Just me this time. Raj has some of his 'inner circle' (as he calls them). It sounds like something from the freemasons but it's actually guys he has grown up with and is very good friends with. Tey have become key guys in the development of the Fishermen Trust too. These guys go round to Rja's house every couple of months for a huge feast, man to man chat(!) and a devotion bit at the end. Great bunch of guys and the food Raj had cooked (remember we had not had this kind of food for ages so it's an extra treat!). We had chicken and bacon, beef strips, pork ribs, mash potato, veg (even I ravaged that!), rolls etc etc. Unbelievable feast for kings!! Good times!
Today, it's Sunday and we are all having a bit of a down day....well Sarah and I are anyway - especially Sarah I guess.... Kids don't seem to be bothered about 'feeling down' so I haven't suggested it to them! All sorts of reasons - heat (makes you tetchy), food (makes you hungry - as you can't get what you need), disorganisation (makes you half hour late for Church!) etc etc. Missing home a little too??
I guess it would be a massive surprise if we weren't feeling like this every now and again??
By the way, I assume you have realised that some of the pics we use against our posts are not actually of us?? i.e the pic of the kid is NOT Sarah having a bad day or I and the pic of the grub is (sadly) not the real meal we had! Mind you, that is not far off what it was like!!
Before you take a peak.....
You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.
