Before you take a peak.....

You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.

Leadership training: the story so far.....

I thought I would give you a very quick update and some pics of the 1st day of the training yesterday.

It was a good day and a really good foundational start to the weekend. We looked at identity, who am I and what is my mission etc - all key foundational principles to look at before starting to look at the 'who do we do it' bit (which comes today and tomorrow)

I did very little yesterday (!) as this was mainly Rob's day and I do about 2/3 of today and all of tomorrow...

We had targeted the day at people who would not normally get this kind of training elsewhere and what was good to see was the people who came had a real hunger to learn and see themselves develop. I love working with people like that...

We had 23 turn up and few extras are coming today. Inevitablyy a few pulled out last minutes

It really is exhausting though as training is normally challenging enough on it's own let alone trying to wrestle with language etc and also ensure what you are training on is culturally relevant etc. We get to the coffee breaks and Rob is off for the squits (yes he has it bad too!) and I'm off for caffeine....!! Going well so far though.....

Today focuses on the how we take leadership from 'who we are' to the 'how we do it bit'.
