Before you take a peak.....

You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.

Day Three: Steaming mad!

Day three started with a swim at the Hotels pool. We have so enjoyed the hotel. The views and quality of the hotel was unreal and the staff are just so nice and have really looked after the kids and us. We really needed this break and this place was just what the doctor ordered!!

At lunchtime to the Nilgiri Mountain Railway with the younger kids. Sarah and Tina and the 2 older ones went to the Botanical Gardens. The railway was similar to that which you would get run by (rather strange!) enthusiasts in the UK but the scenery was incredible going over viaducts and seeing hills such as I have not seen for a while:

The kids have got on so well together all through the holiday. Josh and (Rob and Tina's youngest) Libby have especially clicked.....

Home late evening and a nice meal at the hotel with Raj, Nandu and a guy called Ajoo who manages Avalanche. Great time with them all.

The kids tend to hit a wall at about 6pm here and just drop to sleep - normally in the middle of dinner. I think we have carried them off to bed more than ever out here!

Nice day. Slightly more chilled but none the less great.
