News from home

News from home has been the lifeblood of our time here..... We have been so surprised at who/hasn't been in touch. People who we know well but wouldn't call 'best friends' have been popping up all over the place to e mail us and some of the people we would have expected to hear from have all gone quiet!!! Yes you know who you are people....!!

Today got an e mail from a lady/friend at our church called Maureen (Mo). I am sure some of you lot know 'Mo'. Now, I like Mo! She's got a great sense of humour (although struggles to understand mine at times I think - who wouldn't), very caring and supportive to us (the kids too) and is just an all round good old bird!

Now Mo and IT do not go together - at least they didn't. I have spent hours and hours round Mo's house trying initially to sort her laptop (almost like the old atari ones for those that remember them!), then abandon that and give her an old PC we had and set her up on broadband. Now Mo is surfing the net big time......

Mo enrolled at a class to learn about the web and has now officially become our most avid blog reader. I felt I needed to give her a mention today!!

Here's what she mailed to us today:

"You are doing a fantastic job out there guys. Can you hear me? Dave, you are a man with great energy and passion to get everything done well and the dear Lord understands where you are. I really respect you, Sarah and the children.

I tell different folk that I have been 'blogging with the Hiders' and share what you have been doing so much so that now I have regular following of people who don`t have computers and are here on a Monday for other reasons. We all sit round the computer catching up with your activities and they are truly thrilled to go through the blog with me. Each Monday you can picture us gathered round the screen Blogging"

So here's a big shout going out this Monday morning to all the IT novices gathered round Mo's PC looking at this.

Today, the 16th of June 2008 in Bangalore India...Mo Collings and all that are gathered round you right now.....we salute you! We love you! God Bless you!
