Before you take a peak.....

You need to be aware this is our old blog. Dave (the blogger) started blogging when, as a family, we went to India for 3.5 months from April - August 2008. This blog is the story of our time there. You'll find lots about our story by going to the 'archives' section of the blog to the left below.

The eagle has landed....

Raj, Es and I picked Tim (senior leader from our Church) up at 4am this morning from the airport as mentioned yesterday. He's here for a week with us.

Bengaluru (new name for Bangalore) Airport is lush to say the least. Amazing place BUT for me I preferred the old one as as soon as you come through the exit doors you are immediately hit by the sights, sounds and smells of India. Something I used to love....

Tim is sleeping the flight off now but has been the bearer of good gifts including: baby toys, games and toys for kids (which will go to the orphanage today we think), cooking sauce sachets (hurrah as you can't gte bthem here!!!) and some climbing equipment for the Fishermen Trust courtesy of my mate Mr Sheridan (cheers Paul!). What a fantastic treat!!!

The office furniture (which some of you chipped in towards paying for) was all finally purchased and delivered yesterday and so tomorrow afternoon we are setting up the office. This is so exciting as this will form the base for the Trust for the next few years.
Tim coming has given us a good lift today and the bag of goodies helps too....!!
