Oh! Forgot to say, I read a stunning book whilst away which has really helped in my 'journey' of faith at the moment (i.e with some of the questions I have....). It's by a guy called Pete Grieg, one of the founding leaders of 24-7prayer.The book 'God on mute' is a stunning journey through some of the reasons why God is silent at times (long times in my experience!!). Some of the book is very personal to his journey with his wife Samie who struggles with seizures and the possible resergence of cancer....
Having said that, after going through some of the reasons who also has a final chapter that gives some real challenges as to what happens when God is silent for none of those reasons...i.e He is just silent...because He is..... The book has many quotes from other people.
